A note from Joy Rachor, Director of Music
Christ Lutheran Church is blessed with many talented musicians! Singers, ringers, and instrumentalists give generously of their time to enhance the worship life of this church.
The Chancel Choir rehearses weekly at 4:00 pm on Wednesdays, and sings for the 9:30 am Sunday morning worship services. Choir members provide an anthem each Sunday, and lead the congregation through sung liturgical pieces. Additionally, the choir presents special programs from time to time, and is an integral part of services such as the Hanging of the Greens and Lessons and Carols during the Advent/Christmas season.
Due to the generous support of its congregation, Christ Lutheran Church is fortunate to have a full
5-octave set of Malmark handbells, as well as 3 octaves of choir chimes. These instruments are played by fourteen ringers who rehearse at 2:30 pm every Wednesday and frequently play for worship.
We are also blessed to have several excellent instrumentalists and a Ladies' Trio who occasionally present special music for our worship services.
Musical leadership for Christ Lutheran’s 5:00 pm Saturday services is provided by pianist Ann Looney.
All of the participants in the Music Ministry of Christ Lutheran Church work together to offer praise to God as we proclaim His glory through the gift of music!
